Fibre interrogation both in the telecom space as well as the distributed sensing is in the focus of PremierPhotonics business.

There, a finely tuned and reflected light pulse is picked up by a detector (often an avalanche photodiode).

We support both detectors (InGaAs APDs, InGaAs  PIN PD arrays) as well as light sources, such as laser diodes and LEDs. Our range of components is designed for OTDR and aimed primarily at cost reduction. 

Whereas our InGaAs  PIN PD arrays are aimed at reduction of our customers BOM cost.
